Vaulting Ambitions
Vaulting Ambitions is a free incubator program developed as a strategic partnership program between Expressions Media and City of Adelaide designed to arm creatives with the skills to tackle the business side of their craft.

Based at Prompt Creative Centre (Shop 8, 205 Pirie Street, Adelaide) Libby Trainor Parker from Expressions Media is thrilled to offer Vaulting Ambitions, a program that mentors, educates and nurtures our city’s artists and gives them a physical space to create.

“As writers, musicians, performers, publicists, venue managers and producers, my partner and I have learned much about the business of being creative, through trial and error, with a lot of error! Now that we are well versed in the art of being creative, Matt and I are excited to be imparting those skills to others and bring in guest speakers, experts and mentors to empower artists to run a successful arts practice,” Libby said.

Places are limited for this program, which is free of charge and will help creatives take their craft to the next level.

Session topics include grant writing, publicity and promotion, financial literacy, intellectual property and copyright law, resilience and work/life balance, digital marketing and SEO, digital storytelling and photography, contract law, business literacy, administration and producing, and more.

The monthly program of sessions, led by established Adelaide artists and professional practitioners will take the form of panel discussions, mentoring sessions, networking events, artist showcases and creative practice / development opportunities (making use of Prompt Creative Centre facilities).

Vaulting Ambitions is an incubator program developed under the banner of The Business of Being Creative, which is open to creative practitioners of all backgrounds who wish to develop skills in business and promotion, while also making new connections with fellow creatives.
