What's on @ Prompt in November?

November is a huge month for us here at Prompt as we wander into the silly season (which is either Christmas or Fringe, whichever suits your industry/state of mind!)

We have stacks of fun stuff on for you from another fabulous Master Mic, knockoffs and live music, variety cabaret on a Sunday and a fab Feast Fest lineup!

Friday 8 November

Finish the working week with our live music Happy Hour at Prompt Creative Centre. Free entry, drinks specials and live music from local garage blues outfit, The Dead Regulars, playing a (mostly) acoustic set. Doors at 5pm

We desperately need your support for these free live music events so we can keep having them.

Sunday 10 November

Collabaret is an open mic event for cabaret performers to try out new and untested stuff in front of a friendly audience of artists and cabaret enthusiasts. November features burlesque superstar JAZIDA.

Join the Prompt Creative team in a showcase of eclectic arts and entertainment - you can even grab a mic and take the stage if you feel inspired! Head to Prompt Creative's website www.promptcreativecentre.com.au to sign up/express your interest.

Open Mic Collabaret is headlined by an industry professional, and supported by an open mic lineup of artists trying out new stuff, rehashing old stuff, testing out brand spankin' material, or braving the elements for their maiden stage voyage. There is a tipping system in place for audience to celebrate open mic artists.

Agent of Change

Diana Divine is a burlesque artist and cabaret personality. They're physically disabled, proudly queer, and exhaustingly incapable of hiding either fact about themself. This has led them down a mentoring, advocacy, and activism pathway, naturally... but why should it be so natural? Why must it be up to them as an individual to represent their community as a whole? And is it hypocritical for them to also really enjoy it?

Diana will ask these questions and more* in an emotional mess of ballads, burlesque, and bad language. (*no answers guaranteed)

Whether they like it or not, Diana Divine is an Agent of Change.
