Confessional cabaret queen Carla Anita Mattiazzo is bringing her latest cabaret That's NOT Amore to six venues this Adelaide Fringe, one of those being Prompt Creative.
A feminist, comedy cabaret about gender dynamics and growing up second generation 'Australian' Italian, That’s Not Amore serves up immigrant stories to the present day cultural misogyny, and all the plates of pasta in between.
Playing at Fogolar Furlan , The Gov, Dom Polski, Migration Museum, Prompt Creative Centre, and Bridgeport Hotel That’s NOT Amore is sentimental, nostalgic, funny and wraps the audience up in amore throughout.
But the show’s unexpected, underlying message holds a mirror up to society on topics that are often too painful to face.
Carla's Confessional Cabaret is an award winning, 5-star reviewed company, which has been touring Australia to enthusiastic audiences since 2010 with a commitment to social justice through partial ticket sales going to charity.
This year, Carla will support Catherine House through audiences providing essential items, as well as a percentage of ticket sales.
Catherine House helps women experiencing homelessness.
