Prompt Creative Centre is about to embark on their maiden Fringe voyage, and to celebrate, they are hosting a whopping sixty-three performances over the 2023 Fringe season, featuring an exciting mix of theatre, music, comedy, magic, improv and storytelling.
Star of SBS program Chopsticks or Fork? Jennifer Wong will present her new show Jennifer Wong Has No Peripheral Vision, RAW Comedy finalist Jacob Jackman will perform his hilarious, absurdist comedy special Soup of the Day, Fool for a Lifetime, Abril Latrene is treating us to The Big D (a show about disco, drinking and drag of course), local multi-instrumentalist Pearl Tizzie presents a tribute to Amanda Palmer, Adelaide’s own (by way of Scotland) award winning magician Kevin Kopfstein pulls Madness, Mayhem and Miracles out of his hat; and even have a show telling the story of the mysterious dancing plague of 1518 that forced the people of Strasbourg to dance themselves to death, which is aptly named, The Dancing Plague.
Prompt also has local improv troupes On The Fly and Tenuous Link performing their popular, unscripted, spontaneous shows, Maestro and Dropped In It, respectively; Best of Adelaide Comedy: The Clean Edition will be popular with families and those wanting some wholesome hilarity, and to counteract that, international touring comedian Anna Beros brings her NSFW Creampie Curious to the Prompt Stage, Nick and Tom treat us to the hilarity of Real Estate Agents, and Claudia Callisto, The Good Italian Girl presents her sell-out smash hit Italian Love is a Battlefield.
Prompt will also have lucky dip nights in the third week of Fringe where the bar will be open and anything could happen.
Phew! What a lineup!
